A PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING CORE COMPETENCIES:

Three years of human resources experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
Review and enter First Reports of Injury, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to Risk Management and Sedgwick.
Process Workers’ Compensation checks, calculate leave buybacks, and enter adjustments into LaGov HCM.
Serve as the primary liaison with Sedgwick, medical providers, attorneys, supervisors, and injured employees to resolve claim issues and ensure proper procedures are followed.
Provide guidance to staff on reporting injuries, filing claims, and understanding Workers’ Compensation rules and requirements.
Maintain organized records for pending, active, and closed cases; prepare correspondence; and participate in meetings or hearings as needed.
Recommend improvements to Workers’ Compensation policies and procedures and perform additional HR duties as assigned.

Compensation:
The Human Resource Analyst A (AS-613) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $$1,616.00 biweekly.
The Human Resource Analyst B (AS-614) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $1,728.80 biweekly.
The Human Resource Analyst C (AS-616) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $1,944.80 biweekly.
The Human Resource Specialist (AS-617) title has a Special Entrance Rate of $2,080.80 biweekly.
The incumbent of this position must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15:587.1 (c).
