Kismet Rotisserie is a fast-casual restaurant with 4 locations and is part of the Kismet restaurant group, based in Los Angeles. Our menu focuses on rotisserie chicken, crispy potatoes and vegetable sides, as well as sandwiches, salads, and sweets. It is healthy, comforting and ultra-fresh everyday food, fully made from scratch in-house daily. We source as much as possible from local farms and do our best to incorporate sustainability into our practices, while also maintaining affordability for our customers and creating a positive work environment for our employees.

We are a high volume restaurant, doing a significant amount of take out and catering and we take our approach to quality and integrity very seriously.

Position Summary

The HR Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative and recruitment support to the Human Resources department. This role helps ensure smooth HR operations by assisting with candidate sourcing, scheduling interviews, maintaining organized personnel records, responding to general HR inquiries, and supporting HR programs as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Support

· Assistant with the research and design of job descriptions

· Assist with posting job openings across job boards and internal communication channels

· Screen resumes and conduct initial phone screenings as directed
Schedule interviews with candidates and coordinate with hiring managers
Maintain applicant tracking spreadsheets and timely follow-up communication
Assist with onboarding tasks, including preparing new hire packets and collecting required documents

Administrative & HR Operations

· Maintain organized electronic and physical personnel files in compliance with company policies and state/federal requirements

· Prepare HR documents, letters, and forms such as offer letters, status change forms, and onboarding paperwork including documentation for Leave of Absences and Corrective Action

· Provide general administrative support: printing, filing, scanning, formatting documents, and scheduling HR meetings

Employee Support

· Help communicate HR updates, changes, and deadlines to employees as instructed

· Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions

Compliance & Recordkeeping

· Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring employee documents, I-9s, certifications, and training records are updated and securely stored

· Help track required trainings, deadlines, and follow-up items

Special Project Management

· Assist with HR events, employee recognition efforts, and culture initiatives

· Support special projects assigned by leadership and HR

Qualifications

· 1–2 years of administrative or HR support experience preferred

· A passion for Human Resources; Human Services; Learning & Development

· Experience in the restaurant industry, hospitality, or similar industry

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office

· Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Customer-service mindset with a helpful, professional, and friendly demeanor

Work Environment
Hybrid based role with occasional onsite support depending on business needs.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
