Job Summary

The HR Coordinator supports the Talent function in full-cycle recruitment by reviewing and screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and managing pre-hire activities such as background checks, onboarding, and orientation.

This role also supports offboarding activities, including processing separations and assisting with leave administration.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and edit job descriptions

· Create job profiles and job requisitions in the HRIS/ATS and post open roles

· Draft offer documents for approval, obtain approvals, and present offers to candidates

· Schedule interviews with HR and hiring managers

· Communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and candidates

· Administer background checks and ensure compliance (including pre-employment drug testing for safety-sensitive roles, as applicable)

· Process employee separations and assist with leave administration

· Support onboarding activities, including preparing for and hosting new hire orientation

· Support day-to-day operations of the Talent/HR team

· Enter and process new hires in the HRIS

· Support recruiting efforts for designated departments and/or locations as assigned

· Coordinate and prepare for recruiting events (e.g., career fairs)

· Maintain accurate HR files, records, and reports in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements

· Support performance review activities and maintain training/development records

· Assist with processing and responding to unemployment claims

· Coordinate and schedule exit interviews

· Handle employment verifications and liaise with external verification vendors

· Provide administrative support for work authorization/immigration-related documentation and processes (as applicable)

· Assist with planning and coordinating company events and employee engagement activities

· Support internal HR communications by distributing announcements, updates, and initiatives

· Monitor HR workflows to ensure necessary approvals are obtained promptly and accurately

· Manage a shared HR inbox, triaging inquiries and responding professionally and timely

· Serve as a primary point of contact for employees on HR-related matters

· Occasionally travel to other local sites to provide on-site HR support and serve as an HR liaison

· Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as needed

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)

· 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or administrative support roles

Skills & Abilities

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and follow-through

· High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry/documentation

· Ability to handle sensitive situations with sound judgment and discretion

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
