ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on an administrative level and works closely with all store personnel. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, recruitment/employment, and risk management.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Complete all incoming and outgoing mail daily.
  • Answer the phones and forward to the correct department.
  • Fulfil office supply orders monthly, or as needed.
  • Responsible for being the point of contact for the office’s cleaning service.
  • Responsible for coordinating the ordering and scheduling of the birthday and holiday. celebrations at the corporate office.
  • Assist in the completion of weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the HR department.
  • Complete scanning and uploading of documents regularly.
  • Perform audits as needed for the department.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of information involved in the department.
  • Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of one year of office/secretarial experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Present a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
