Human Resources Assistant

Position Summary

The HR Administrative Assistant supports the day-to-day administrative functions for the Human Resources Department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting timekeeping, onboarding, benefits administration, HR systems updates, and routine employee communication. The position also serves as the first point of contact for general HR questions and helps ensure HR processes are organized, timely, and compliant. HR Admin will report directly to the HR manager.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 9am to 6pm, Fridays 9am to 12pm.

Responsibilities

  • Audit timecards for accuracy and coordinate corrections before payroll deadlines
  • Compile employee reimbursements and track recurring timekeeping issues
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate onboarding from offer acceptance through first day readiness
  • Ensure onboarding documents are completed, collected, and properly filed
  • Assist with benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and deduction audits
  • Maintain employee data, HRIS updates, and personnel files
  • Audit benefit billing
  • Respond to routine HR questions related to timekeeping, onboarding, and benefits
  • Escalate employee relations, disciplinary, and other sensitive issues to the HR Manager
  • Support HR surveys, newsletters, presentations, and other employee communication efforts

Qualifications

  • Prior administrative experience required, preferably in HR or a related function
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Experience with Paycom preferred

Success in This Role

Success in this position will be measured by timely and accurate completion of HR administrative tasks, organized and current employee records, smooth onboarding coordination, accurate benefit and timekeeping support, and effective day-to-day HR communication.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
