Human Resources Assistant (People & Culture)

At Somnium Hospitality Group, we believe people are the heart of everything we do. We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our People & Culture team at Oak Brook Hills Resort—our flagship property.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and onboard new Dream Members, creating a warm and engaging first impression
• Prepare onboarding materials and ensure completion of all required employment documentation (including I-9 compliance)
• Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate communication, and interview coordination
• Maintain accurate and organized employee records in compliance with company and legal standards
• Serve as a helpful resource to Dream Members by answering questions and guiding them to the right support
• Assist with HR systems (Paylocity) and help track compliance and key HR activities
• Support employee engagement initiatives that bring our culture and values to life
• Partner with the Regional Director of People & Culture on reporting, audits, and multi-property HR initiatives
• Contribute to special projects that enhance the employee experience across our portfolio

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of administrative, HR, or recruiting experience preferred
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for people
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity, ADP, etc.) preferred
• Hospitality or service industry experience is a plus
• A positive, team-first mindset with a desire to grow within People & Culture

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
