We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Associate Vice President to join our HR team. The HR Associate VP oversees personnel, compliance, employee relations, staff development, affirmative action, and equal employment opportunity functions for Interborough, and advises senior leaders on personnel matters.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on HR strategies supporting organizational goals and addressing mental health outpatient workforce challenges.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and trauma-informed workplace culture that values employee well-being.
  • Coach management on performance, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead a dedicated team of HR professionals, including HR coordinators, timekeepers, and recruiters.
  • Provide clear direction, delegate tasks effectively, manage performance reviews, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment cycle for all staff, including licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, and administrative personnel.
  • Develop targeted recruitment campaigns and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws and accrediting bodies (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, The Joint Commission).
  • Oversee documentation, record-keeping, and the timely verification of licenses and certifications for all professional staff upon hire and at renewal.
  • Create monthly reports compiling and analyzing comprehensive workforce data (headcount, turnover, demographics, attendance, overtime, time-to-fill) for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage all aspects of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance and reporting, including gathering data, maintaining accurate records, and submitting the mandatory annual EEO-1 report if the organization meets the required thresholds.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive occupational safety and health (OSH) programs and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience as an HR Director/People Business Partner in a fast-growing organization. Healthcare organization preferred.
  • Deep understanding of federal and state employment laws and healthcare-specific regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with HR software/HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with on-boarding platforms, Leave Administration (FMLA, DBL, STD, PFL, Workers Comp) and completing EEO reports and OSHA submissions.

Salary Range: $165,000 to $180,000

Location: Onsite
