Position – Human Resources Business Partner
The Human Resources Generalist position is classified as supporting department for the Regional Care Group network. The incumbent hired will represent Regional Care Group network on official communications.
Position Description:
The Human Resources Business Partner ensures that the practices of the business unit are aligned with the strategic focus of the organization. The HR Business Partner is responsible for the day-to-day operations within a business unit of human resource functions, such as those pertaining to compensation administration, recruitment and retention, credentialing, training and development, employee relations, benefits and labor relations. This position requires the ability to interact with all levels of staff, providing policy guidance to employees and management.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to coordinate the recruitment process (sourcing, selection, tracking & analysis) within a business unit, while interacting and collaborating with business unit managers
- Possess thorough knowledge of HR related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policy guidelines
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to consistently provide sound counsel to managers in issues related to employee relations
- Knowledge of best practices, labor laws, and collective bargaining process.
- Demonstrated ability to meet established productivity expectations.
- Versatile with computer software programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
- Possess previous experience with Unions.
- Detailed orientated with ability to multi-task with projects.
- Attend and represent Human Resources at regular management meetings
- Conduct regular meetings (check ins) with new hires.
- Consult with management providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Perform clerical and general office duties to assist the activities of the HR Department
- Assists with departments audits when needed
- Scan documents into the database and run reports as needed
- Must be willing to travel to business unit locations
- Attend job fairs as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of related professional experience, in Human Resources.
- Experience working with Unions is a plus.
- Strong knowledge or recruitment practices, policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
