The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as the primary HR contact for the company’s US operations, partnering closely with business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives. Reporting to the Head of HR in the UK, this role will support the growth of the US market by delivering strategic HR guidance, ensuring compliance with US employment laws, and fostering a high-performance culture within a fast-paced technology recruitment environment.
The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to leadership while collaborating with the global HR function to ensure consistent policies, processes, and employee experience across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership

Partner with US leadership teams to align HR initiatives with business strategy and growth plans.

Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.

Act as a bridge between the US teams and the global HR function based in the UK.

Employee Relations

Taking a lead whilst advising and supporting managers on all Employee Relations issues, including performance management; sickness & absence; disciplinary & grievance procedures.

Monitoring, updating and advising staff and managers on HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are adhered to and effectively communicated.

To monitor staff turnover and ensuring that exit interviews are carried out, analyzing and reporting on findings.

Compliance & HR Operations

Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Implement HR policies and procedures aligned with global standards while adapting for US requirements.

Oversee HR documentation, employee lifecycle processes, and HRIS data accuracy.
Global HR Collaboration

Work closely with the Head of HR and global HR colleagues to ensure consistency in people practices.

Contribute to global HR projects, policies, and change initiatives.
Experience:
-
5+ years’ experience in HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist roles.

Experience supporting US employees in a fast-paced environment, ideally within recruitment/staffing industries.

Strong knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance.

Experience working with international teams or global HR structures.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or equivalent preferred).
Key Competencies (Skills):

Excellent up to date knowledge of local employment law and legislation.

Extensive knowledge of policies and procedures related to an HR Function.

Up to date knowledge on recruitment, staff retention methods.
