Human Resources Business Partner

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, mission-driven organization to identify their next HR Business Partner.


This is a highly visible opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys serving as a strategic advisor to operational leaders while remaining hands-on in employee relations, performance management, investigations, and workforce planning. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this individual will support multiple locations and partner closely with leadership teams to drive employee engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.


This role is 100% onsite in Portland, OR and offers a base salary of $90,000-$100,000 DOE. In addition, the organization offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) match, generous PTO, low-cost healthcare options, professional development opportunities, and wellness programs.


Job Duties:

  • Partner with business leaders across multiple locations to support organizational and people-related initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, leadership coaching, performance concerns, and workplace issues.
  • Provide guidance on employee lifecycle activities, including talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Support leaders in navigating complex employee situations while balancing business objectives and employee experience.
  • Conduct fact-finding, investigations, and issue resolution efforts as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
  • Ensure people practices align with company policies, employment regulations, and organizational goals.
  • Assist with change management, succession planning, and leadership development efforts.
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend solutions that support operational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Human Resources function.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a business-facing HR role.
  • Experience partnering with leaders on a broad range of employee and organizational matters.
  • Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management.
  • Experience supporting multiple departments, business units, or locations.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar) preferred.
