Human Resources Consultant (Part-Time)

OVERVIEW

Insight Global is seeking a Human Resources Consultant to join their clients' team in a part-time (24-hours, 3-days a week) position, located onsite in Pleasanton, CA. This role is geared to provide strategic guidance across a range of HR functions. Those functions could include:

  • Employee Relations: Acting as the main point of contact for any employee concerns and handling conflict resolution to promote a positive workplace
  • Compliance and Policy Management: Ensuring HR practices comply with California labor laws and regulations. Updating and enforcing company policies and procedures. Keeping handbook updated. Work with in-house counsel when required.
  • HR Administration: Maintaining employee records. Proper documentation of performance management.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Managing new hire orientation process. Recruiting and talent acquisition as needed.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Administering employee benefits, including open enrollment support. Payroll support as needed.


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 7+ years of experience working within human resources roles, with a background as a generalist or higher
  • Proven experience offering strategic support within employee relations and compliance management, along with general HR administration
  • In‑depth knowledge of California labor and employment laws
  • Active SHRM Certification
  • BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related


LOGISTICS

  • The HR Consultant will be working on Insight Global's W2 through a contract-to-hire model, with the ultimate goal of converting permanent to the clients' team at 9 months.
  • This is an onsite position , no hybrid or remote flexibility.
  • Candidate will be working part-time hours, 24-hours per week.
  • Candidate must pass a criminal background check, 5-panel drug screening, employment verifications, education verifications, and professional references. It will take 1-2 weeks for onboarding to be completed from the offer acceptance.
  • First round, virtual interviews with the client will be taking place the week of 3/9.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Compensation ranges between $50/hr to $54/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
  • Candidates eligible for weekly payroll.
  • Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
