Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator will support a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations support, and HRIS maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, approachable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer all onboarding activities for new hires.
- Process Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) and maintain accurate employee records.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee questions.
- Support 401(k) administration and employee communications.
- Maintain employee information within Paycom and ensure data accuracy.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Provide managers with guidance and clarification on company policies and HR processes.
- Process employee terminations and ensure all required notices and documentation are completed.
- Prepare employment verification requests and other HR-related correspondence.
- Monitor attendance and assist with tracking sick leave usage and compliance.
- Support office operations, including ordering supplies, handling mail, and coordinating FedEx shipments.
- Assist with HR projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience is a plus.
- Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of New York City employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong customer-service mindset and ability to build positive relationships with employees and managers.
- This role is 5 days per week in our NYC offices in midtown.
