Human Resources Coordinator – Oklahoma City Division

We are currently seeking an individual for our Human Resources Coordinator position that meets the following criteria:
Objective of the Position:
· Maintains employee personnel, insurance and medical files in compliance with federal and state laws.
· Recruits CDL Class A & B drivers.
· Leads the review and selection of new driver applicants.
· Performs all aspects of the new hire process.
· Provides assistant support to the Safety Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Researches new recruiting opportunities and promotes Schwarz Ready Mix as the leader in the Ready-mix Industry.
· Contacts employee applicants immediately upon application, both in person and online.
· Reviews driver applications, interviews driver candidates, participates in the selections process, and conducts required pre-employment background checks and test per requirements.
· Conducts new hire orientation, ensuring all onboarding paperwork is correct and complete.
· Manages the employee benefits program including initial new hire enrollment, and annual open enrollment.
· Reconciles insurance invoicing monthly to ensure accuracy of coverages.
· Work closely with the corporate HR team to resolve any issues that may arise.
· Participates in regulatory audits.
· Assists the Safety department with DOT file compliance, and other administrative duties.
· Ability and wiliness to assist other departments with daily tasks, including special projects, and executive directives.
· This position reports to the HR Director.
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience will be considered.
· HR knowledge of current local, state and federal labor laws preferred.
· Experience with DOT fleet compliance (federal, state and local) preferred.
Skills:
· Must have excellent customer service skills/verbal and written communication skills.
· Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external partners.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
· ADP experience a plus.
· Must possess the highest possible standard of ethics and conduct.
· Demonstrate good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, able to meet deadlines.
· Take initiative and be self-motivated, always looking for opportunities to improve.
