We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator / Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team. This position will support the day-to-day administration of HR operations while progressively taking ownership of broader Human Resources responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, adaptable, and eager to develop within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role provides exposure to nearly every aspect of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and HR projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate the full recruitment process, including posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Assist hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and recruitment metrics.
Onboarding & Employee Administration
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Process new hires, employee changes, and terminations.
- Maintain personnel files and HRIS records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure completion of I-9s, E-Verify, and employment documentation.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions and requests.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee inquiries.
- Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and employee documentation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Promote a positive workplace culture.
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes.
- Coordinate leave requests and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Support payroll by ensuring timely processing of personnel changes.
- Maintain accurate attendance and PTO records.
Performance Management
- Coordinate annual performance evaluations and probationary reviews.
- Assist managers with performance documentation.
- Track employee development and training activities.
Compliance
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Help maintain HR policies and employee handbook updates.
- Support unemployment claims, workers' compensation, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times.
HR Projects
- Participate in HR process improvements and special projects.
- Assist with implementation of new HR initiatives.
- Support departmental reporting and workforce analytics.
- Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of Human Resources or administrative experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in healthcare, laboratory, or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
