Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Coordinator/Assistant to support our HR department in managing various functions related to human capital management. This role is essential for ensuring smooth HR operations, fostering employee engagement, and supporting strategic initiatives within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of HR processes and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with talent acquisition activities, including sourcing candidates through ATS platforms such as Workday
- Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
- Support employee evaluation and performance management processes, including data collection and documentation.
- Maintain accurate HR records through data entry and data collection efforts while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with workforce management activities including scheduling, staffing plans, and organizational design initiatives.
- Contribute to change management projects and strategic planning efforts related to human resources management.
- Manage employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality while supporting conflict management processes.
- Support HR sourcing efforts via social media management and other recruiting channels.
- Prepare reports related to HR metrics using tools like Oracle HCM, Paychex, Dayforce, Kronos, or similar platforms.
- Assist with training & development programs to promote employee growth and succession planning initiatives.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human capital management practices and employment & labor law compliance.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Oracle HCM, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) including Taleo, iCIMS, Lever, or Paylocity.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with a focus on organization design and strategic planning.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Familiarity with benefits administration processes and payroll systems such as Paychex or Dayforce is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and workers’ compensation procedures is advantageous.
- Strong administrative skills including data entry, data collection, reporting, and social media management for recruiting purposes. Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
