This position plans, develops and conducts stateside training for DHHS Child Welfare program managers, supervisors, mission staff, as well as, private agency staff and family court personnel. This position is responsible for conducting training sessions, workshops, conferences and seminars in the area of child welfare. The position is responsible for training program policy and procedures in a manner that is consistent with the agency’s philosophy of self-determination, strengthening families, and family preservation. Extensive travel is required.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Human Resource Developer 9
No specific type or amount is required.

Human Resource Developer 10
One year of professional experience in planning, developing, conducting, or evaluating staff development, training, or other programs equivalent to a Human Resources Developer.

Human Resource Developer P11
Two years of professional experience in planning, developing, conducting, or evaluating staff development, training, or other programs equivalent to a Human Resources Developer, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Developer 10.


Additional Requirements and Information

This position will work remotely. Occasional travel to the office located at Detroit/Lansing may be required. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or work hybrid must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:


  • A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
  • A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
  • Work must be performed in the State of Michigan
