Position Summary
The HR/Payroll & Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and accounting duties to support the daily operations of Premier Care Center. This position ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, management of employee records, onboarding, benefits coordination, and processing of invoices and vendor payments. The ideal candidate maintains a high level of confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail while supporting both employees and management in a skilled nursing facility environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources / Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and update employee personnel files, licensure records, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including background checks, orientation scheduling, and benefits enrollment.
- Monitor employee attendance, PTO requests, and timecard approvals.
- Coordinate employee recognition and retention initiatives as directed by management.
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding payroll, benefits, and policy-related questions.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and labor law requirements.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Receive, review, and process all invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and timely payment.
- Maintain organized vendor files and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
- Code invoices to appropriate expense accounts and reconcile monthly statements.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ensuring compliance with facility purchasing and budget guidelines.
- Assist in month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for financial reports or audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, payroll, or accounts payable—healthcare or skilled nursing experience highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and payroll software.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, labor regulations, and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
Working Conditions

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
