Job Summary: The HR Employment Specialist is responsible for providing support for human resources office functions and will focus on non-exempt position recruitment. While motivated to work as part of a team, the HR Employment Specialist will also be tasked to develop and complete projects independently.

Position Information:
- Coordinates recruitment effort for nonexempt and extracurricular personnel. This includes job posting, prescreening candidates, setting up interviews, and developing interview questions.
- Coordinate with department managers and team leaders to identify current and future hiring needs. Advise and guide supervisors and managers regarding recruitment/staffing policies and procedures.
- Manages the pre-boarding process for new hires. This includes reference checking, salary determination, employment offers, and initiating the new hire process.
- Administers the new employee orientation process including completion of onboarding forms, summary of district technology, workers’ compensation, PSERS information, etc.
- Maintain list of all current, upcoming and filled vacancies.
- Assists in maintaining HRIS records and compiles reports.
- Manage the new hire data entry process in the human resource information systems.
- Monitor compliance with PA teacher certification regulations for substitute teachers.
- Assists in answering incoming HR Office emails and telephone calls: screen emails/calls, schedule appointments and meetings, respond to inquiries, route calls/emails, and record messages.
- Maintain electronic training system, enter and track employees in the system to ensure compliance for all state and federal mandated trainings.
- Maintain clearance compliance for all district employees.
- Coordinate and attend recruitment events.
- Manages substitute intent to return process for all district substitutes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
- One to three years of experience in Human Resources preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
