About Us

Phoenix Ortho Injury Spine & Extremity is a physician-led, multi-specialty medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional orthopedic and interventional pain care. We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist with medical office experience to join our team in Stone Mountain, GA. This role will support our staff, providers, and leadership team by ensuring HR processes run smoothly and that compliance standards are always met.

Position Overview

The HR Generalist will be responsible for payroll administration, compliance oversight, employee relations, and supporting the overall human resources function within our medical practice. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring all licenses and certifications remain active and up to date, while also serving as a resource for employees and management on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll & Benefits
  • Manage and process payroll using Paychex, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The practice is open to moving away from Paychex, and would support this position choosing a new platform to process payroll through.
  • Assist employees with payroll, benefits, and timekeeping inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Compliance & Licensing
  • Track and maintain physician, nurse practitioner, and staff licenses and certifications to ensure they remain current.
  • Coordinate with state licensing boards as needed to prevent lapses.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with healthcare regulations, employment law, and company standards.
  • Employee Relations & HR Support
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork, and orientation for staff and providers.
  • Maintain employee files and HR records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Support performance management, employee evaluations, and disciplinary processes as needed.
  • Office & Team Support
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes as needed.
  • Assist in planning staff trainings, meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, ideally within a medical office or healthcare environment.
  • Experience using Paychex (required).
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
