Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance, employee engagement, and smooth execution of HR functions. This role is responsible for a wide range of HR duties, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing

· Develop job descriptions and post openings on job boards.

· Screen, interview, and coordinate hiring for new employees.

· Manage and monitor the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, benefits of enrollment, and training.

· Maintain accurate records of employee data and hiring activities.

Employee Relations

· Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, or disputes.

· Foster a positive work environment and help resolve conflicts fairly and promptly.

· Implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction

Performance Management

· Support managers in performance evaluations and feedback processes.

· Track performance metrics and assist in developing improvement plans.

· Administer recognition programs, awards, and incentives (e.g., Annual Dundee Awards).

Compliance & Policies

· Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

· Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and the employee handbook.

· Administer, monitor, and update workplace safety and ADA compliance programs.

· Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

Training & Development

· Identify staff training needs and coordinate professional development programs.

· Maintain employee training records and certifications.

· Promote career growth and skill development initiatives.

HR Administration

· Maintain personnel files, employment records, and HR databases.

· Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards for management.

· Oversee payroll administration (may coordinate with finance/payroll provider).

Onboarding & Offboarding

· Manage all onboarding from candidate search to supervisor handoff by Day 3.

· Manage all offboarding from termination/resignation notice to equipment return and final payout per state laws.

Required Qualifications

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 2–4 years of HR experience preferred.

· Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

· Proficiency with HRIS software, Microsoft Office, and data reporting.

· SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

· Time-to-fill open positions

· Employee turnover and retention rates

· Employee engagement scores

· Compliance audit completion

· Successful onboarding completion rate

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Human Resources: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certificate (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Vancouver, WA 98662 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Vancouver, WA 98662: Relocate before starting work (Required)
