Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: HR Manager

Status: Full-time (Exempt)

Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 annually + 5% bonus eligibility

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist supports all daily HR operations. This role provides hands-on HR support across recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training, working closely with all levels of the company. Supporting and modeling STARC’s values and mission, this essential partnership ensures the administrative functions are maintained with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, and are not limited to the following:

· Supports the Human Resources administration needs for the company

· Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records

· Ensures accurate and timely processing of employee administrative changes

· Audits and maintains files and systems regularly to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.

· Assists with data reporting for HR metrics

· Supports talent acquisition administration

· Schedules interviews and manage candidate communications

· Coordinates pre and onboarding and offboarding tasks

· Conducts and/or assist with new hire orientations and onboarding

· Facilitates and executes employee recognition programs

· Tracks and manages the timely completion of required HR tasks throughout the organization

· Conduct exit interviews, reports personnel issues to appropriate leadership

· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with all training, continuing education, and work assessments, etc.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager and appropriate leadership

· Files Worker’s Compensation claims

· Maintains OSHA reporting

· Supports the administration of the HRMS

· Provides backup to payroll administration

· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and practices

· Assists with LMS (Learning Management System) administration

· Supports and models STARC systems values and mission

· Other duties as assigned, relevant to the role and support of the company

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

· 2+ years of HR administrative experience, ideally in a multi-state manufacturing or industrial environment

· Strong proficiency with HRMS, ATS, and timekeeping systems

· Knowledge of federal and state employment laws

· High attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

· High degree of professional acumen

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and exercise sound judgment

· Ability to self-manage responsibilities appropriately while functioning efficiently in a fast paced, high growth environment

· Proficient in O365 and technological tools

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem solving
