POSITION SUMMARY: Mariani Landscape is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across all aspects of HR to support employees and managers.

The HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and helping employees navigate their journey at Mariani. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of all required documentation.
  • Maintain HRIS systems (Workday) and ensure accurate data entry for payroll and employment tracking.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate performance review cycles and assist managers with goal setting and feedback processes.
  • Support training and development initiatives by scheduling sessions and tracking participation.
  • Help organize employee engagement activities and culture-building events.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics such as turnover, headcount, and training completion.
  • Participate in HR projects aimed at improving processes and employee experience.
  • Ability to juggle multiple HR tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (Workday experience a plus).
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Position Range:

$63,000 - $80,000
