Human Resources Generalist

POSITION OVERVIEW

Join Canon Medical Informatics as a Human Resources Generalist and play a hands-on role supporting the full employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, compensation, and compliance—in a fast‑moving, people‑first environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with benefits administration by providing support to employees on benefit queries, and communicating with benefit providers
  • Document and process benefit changes due to life events, coordinate changes with payroll, and ensure completion of necessary insurance forms
  • Maintain electronic records and data integrity in HRIS to support compliance reporting
  • Set up new employees in the HRIS and coordinate new hire information with payroll and IT
  • Assist with the hiring and onboarding process by conducting background checks, and participating in new hire orientation
  • Support and document the performance management process
  • Support and document the compensation administration process by pulling updated salary range data
  • Document and make updates to employee profiles in the HRIS (new hires, transfers, terminations, etc.)
  • Create verification letters related to employment, benefits and/or vendor credentialing verifications
  • Work with leaders to create job descriptions for all employees
  • Manage full cycle recruiting process: source, identify, engage, evaluate, schedule, and offer top candidates to fill open job positions
  • Facilitate offer processes, including offer letter generation, salary recommendations and negotiations, coordination of reference checks, and offer acceptances/rejections
  • Assist with the departure processes by conducting exit interviews, coordinating internal communications, and providing benefits information to departing employees
  • Assist with managing leave processes including providing necessary information to employees, coordinating with benefit providers, and communicating internally
  • Assist with managing tuition reimbursement, company matching program and employee relocation requests
  • Document and share new hire feedback and surveys with leaders
  • Generate ad-hoc HR reports using Cognos reporting in the HRIS
  • Assist with the immigration processing for foreign employees
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure compliance
  • Assist with compliance with federal and state employment law, labor regulations and governmental reporting requirement and implementation of HR policies and guidelines

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or business-related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Human Resources Generalist role
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (experience with UltiPro/UKG Pro strongly preferred)
  • Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
  • Ability to work in a rapid and complex changing working environment is a must

Preferred

  • Experience working with Cognos reporting tool preferred
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification

COMPENSATION

$68,460 - $102,690, dependent on experience

In alignment with applicable pay transparency legislation, we disclose the full salary range for this position. Our compensation philosophy is designed to ensure fair and equitable pay practices that are both market‑competitive and internally consistent. Salary ranges are established using external market data and are intended to reflect the full scope of experience, skills, and proficiency levels associated with the role.

As part of our standard hiring practice, we aim extend offers at or near the midpoint of the range for candidates who are fully qualified and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and experience required to perform the role independently and effectively. Final compensation decisions may vary based on individual qualifications, experience, and other job‑related factors, while remaining within the established range.
