RYCOE Enterprises Inc., a leading excavation contractor servicing Central NY and beyond, is hiring an HR Generalist. The individual in this role will oversee recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration and compliance for the company. This is a great opportunity for someone with baseline HR and recruiting experience to take the next step in their career and help a company grow!

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruitment including development of talent pipeline
  • Development and implementation of performance management program
  • Collaboration with leadership on handling of employee relations issues
  • Onboarding and offboarding
  • Collaboration with benefits broker to ensure a competitive benefits offering that meets employee needs
  • Human Resources administration including compliance with state and federal laws (e.g. ensure handbook is up to date, update policies as appropriate, complete required filings)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business or psychology preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or human resources, preferably within the excavation or construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with NY state and federal employment law.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and guiding teams towards achieving strategic goals.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Working Conditions

Office-Based Role: Predominantly office-based.

Work Hours: Full time salaried position with business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
