Job Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department, ensuring efficient HR operations and delivery of excellent service to employees and managers. This position manages a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and training support. The HR Generalist acts as a key resource for employees while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for designated positions, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer coordination.
- Oversee new hire orientation and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees with questions, concerns, or conflicts.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
- Assist with investigations and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Administer employee benefit programs (health, retirement, FMLA, etc.)
- Manage leave of absence process to include the interactive accommodation process (i.e. FMLA, CFRA, DPL, PFL ADA).
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with policy updates, reporting, and audits.
- Ensure accurate and confidential maintenance of employee records.
- Prepares HR reports and metrics as required.
- Support the planning and delivery of employee training programs.
- Track training participation and evaluate effectiveness.
- Assist managers and employees with performance review processes.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
- Partner with the HR Assistant to ensure smooth HR operations.
- Support policy implementation, benefits administration, leave management, and payroll coordination.
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of CA employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. ADP Workforce exp a plus.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry minimum of 25 lbs.

Working Conditions:
- Full Time, Exempt position.
- On-site position in Santa Ana
- Monday – Friday work schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
