Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team and drive our HR initiatives forward. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between management and employees, fostering a positive workplace environment while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Your expertise in human capital management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration will be instrumental in supporting our organizational growth. Duties

  • Manage full-cycle talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates through Indeed & Social Media platforms, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities like employee orientation and training programs.
  • Manages and maintains all current and historical Human Resources files, payroll files, I-9 records, E-Verify process and records, drug and alcohol screening, background investigation results, training and learning courses, and other records, to ensure the Agency remains in compliance with all laws and regulations and demonstrates “best practices” in regard to personnel information management.
  • Oversee employee evaluation and performance management systems to ensure ongoing feedback, goal setting, and development planning aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation claims, and retirement plans using HRIS systems like KhanTime and ADP.
  • Ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations such as OSHA and FMLA by maintaining accurate records, conducting audits, and updating policies accordingly.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives related to organization design, succession planning, and HR process improvements to support strategic planning efforts.
  • Assist with handling employee relations matters by mediating conflicts, managing disciplinary actions, and promoting a positive work environment through effective communication skills.
  • Maintain data accuracy through diligent data collection and entry systems.
  • Our ideal HR Generalist must be approachable although this may seem like an evident skill to have, but it also calls for emotional intelligence. It goes beyond being able to handle issues diplomatically. It involves establishing open communication channels and understanding people and their differences.
  • Extensive knowledge of human resources management principles including talent management, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Strong understanding of employment & labor law compliance, OSHA standards, workers' compensation procedures, and affirmative action planning.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with experience leading HR initiatives like organization design or strategic planning projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners; adept at social media management for employer branding efforts.
  • Skilled in conflict management techniques to resolve workplace issues efficiently while maintaining professionalism.

Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly with high attention to detail in data collection and recordkeeping tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
