HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
We’re looking for an HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping HR operations running seamlessly. This role is critical to supporting our employees, from their first day through every milestone along the way, while ensuring behind-the-scenes compliance and consistency.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, creating a smooth and professional experience for employees at every stage
  • Maintain accurate, compliant employee records and manage core HR processes within our HRIS
  • Administer unemployment claims, including responses, documentation, hearings, and outcome tracking
  • Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, short-term disability, personal leave), ensuring compliance and clear communication
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims in partnership with our safety team and third-party administrators
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, answering questions related to benefits, policies, and HR processes
  • Support recruiting, training, employee engagement initiatives, and company events
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, E-Verify, and unemployment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
What Would Really Make You Shine:
  • HR Certifications (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP)
  • Working knowledge of Ohio Workers' Compensation and surrounding states

  • Compensation for this role ranges from $60K to $89K annually, based on experience
