YOUR IMPACT
You will coordinate key HR elements across the lifecycle of the colleague experience and act as a trusted resource for our Midwest and Atlantic regional office locations. You will be expected to deliver exceptional support to our colleagues and business partners, while ensuring compliance with important risk topics and legal requirements.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for colleagues, providing guidance on HR-related questions and escalating issues as needed. You will deliver exceptional HR support across our regions while independently managing key processes and initiatives.
You will oversee onboarding for new joiners, coordinating Day 1 schedules and logistics, maintaining new hire reporting, completing I-9 verifications, addressing pre-start questions, and presenting key HR information to ensure an engaging and seamless first-day experience. You will also support offboarding for transitioning colleagues by managing data, executing transition support programs, conducting exit interviews, handling recoupments and reconciliations, and ensuring a caring and supportive exit process.
You will manage mobility, flexible programs, and role changes, including administering key programs such as Take Time, coordinating colleague rotations, and facilitating alternative programs for the region. This work will require careful attention to process administration, documentation, and communication to ensure smooth transitions for colleagues.
As the HR data and reporting expert for the region, you will complete month-end audit reports, respond to data requests from stakeholders, and provide insights to support decision-making. You will also partner on performance management and colleague development processes, assisting with feedback conversations, drafting performance improvement plans, and managing transitions.
Additionally, you will act as a champion for Duty of Care programs, guiding colleagues in accessing and navigating available resources. You will actively manage communications and reminders related to these programs, ensuring colleagues are aware of and supported by the resources available to them. Through your efforts, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive and supportive experience for colleagues across the region.
Our team works extensively within People Central, ServiceNow, and other HR systems. You will become an expert at operating within these systems to build expertise on key HR topics. You will also contribute to strategic projects and office/firm priorities, contributing to efforts beyond the immediate scope of your role as needed. As a member of the broader North America HR team, you may be a contributing member, convener, or leader of a group or groups of colleagues focused on specific HR service lines or projects. Flexibility and agility are necessary as this role will evolve based on business needs and your professional development.
You will work in our Chicago office with responsibilities across our Midwest and Atlantic region. Our regional locations collectively include more than 3,500 consulting and non-consulting colleagues. You will work collaboratively across our offices as well as with other firm functions, including people legal, immigration legal, payroll, talent management, recruiting, compensation and professional development. You will report to the Senior Manager of Human Resources for the Midwest and Atlantic regions.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
3+ years of HR experience in a corporate or professional services environment required
Ability to navigate sensitive and complex employee situations with care
Sharp technical expertise and an intrinsic drive to explore, learn and innovate
Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a complex and largely autonomous work environment
Evidence of sound judgment, professionalism, maturity, trustworthiness
Ability to work in-person in our Chicago office a minimum of 2-3 days per week
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
