The Human Resources Generalist I supports the day-to-day HR operations across all Florida locations. This role provides administrative and coordination support across core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations intake, compliance, and employee programs.
This position works under the guidance of the HR Director and focuses on execution, coordination, and maintaining consistent HR processes. The role is 4 days in-office and 1 day remote, ensuring strong connection with our teams while offering flexibility.
Essential functions of the position:

Support recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation logistics and documentation

Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and HR inquiries, escalating issues to the HR Director as appropriate

Work closely with front-line leaders to support day-to-day HR processes, provide guidance on routine matters, and escalate more complex issues to the HR Director
HR OperationsCompliance

Maintain HRIS data accuracy, personnel files, and standard reporting

Process employee changes including new hires, terminations, and status updates

Assist with benefits administration, payroll updates, and leave tracking

Support compliance efforts by maintaining required documentation and assisting with audits

Assist with performance management processes by tracking timelines and documentation

Maintain HR inbox and internal HR resources
SafetyRisk Management

Support safety and incident reporting processes, including documentation and tracking

Assist with maintaining safety records and required compliance documentation
TrainingDevelopment

Coordinate employee training programs, including scheduling and tracking completion

Assist with preparation and logistics for training sessions and materials

Support employee engagement initiatives and internal programs

Assist with coordination of company events and activities

Travel Responsibilities:
- This position includes local travel within the FL area periodically to allow for in-person culture building and rapport and/or during times which require HR to be present such as for events or investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

1-2 years of HR experience as Coordinator, Administrator or Generalist

Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
This position is primarily indoors, in an office setting with regular visits inside company warehouses
