Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Manage end-to-end payroll and benefits administration for salaried and hourly employees using ADP.

· Review and reconcile benefit plan invoices and purchase orders while partnering with benefit brokers to evaluate and transition employee benefit plans for compliance and cost-effectiveness.

· Monitor, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training programs, including safety training, anti-harassment training, certifications, licensure, and continuing education requirements.

· Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for open positions.

· Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and required competencies for open roles.

· Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

· Facilitate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs to support employee engagement and retention.

· Administer HR programs and processes related to compensation, benefits, leave management, employee relations, performance management, training, and employee development.

· Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors while escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.

· Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and termination processes while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations by reviewing and maintaining HR policies and practices.

· Stay informed on HR trends, regulatory updates, best practices, and emerging technologies in human resources and employment law.

· Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.

· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

· At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.

· SHRM-CP / PHR a plus.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
