Job Summary: You will be a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and forms partnerships across the HR department to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects our goals and facilitates a positive relationship. You will report to the Human Resources Supervisor.
Primary Tasks:
- You will respond to employee and manager phone inquiries of different natures, using multiple HR systems such as HRIS, Timekeeping, Pay Card, Employee Self Service.
- Advise on performance management including performance reviews and disciplinary action and terminations.
- Manage and resolve routine to mid-complex employee relations issues.
- Review performance management plans and coach management staff before discussions with associates to ensure consistency and relevance.
- You will monitor, audit and report on important metrics and responsibilities on an ongoing basis by working within HR systems.
- Participate in planning department goals and systems.
- Work with external entities in providing authorized employment information about such areas as employment verification, income verification, unemployment inquiries, and garnishment requests.
- Ensure employee Human Resources files are up to date by assisting with all source documents received into the proper system in the prescribed folder based on system established guidelines.
- You will train and provide support to HR Team members. May function in a supervisor role.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors' degree in Human Resources or related field or 4 years related experience.
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
- Knowledge of general HR standards
- Communicate with courtesy, provide information, and maintain relationships with a diverse group
- Work discreetly with confidential information and situations and respond to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Two (2) years Human Resources work experience
