Human Resources Generalist II
The Department of Surgery is recruiting a Human Resources professional to perform all essential function for staff human resources. The position also facilitates training and development services, employee engagement, coaching and counseling. The incumbent will provide input in budget management, strategic planning initiatives, data analysis and reporting to the Director of Finance and Academic Operations.
Provides advice and guidance on all phases of human resources, serves as a consultant to people managers and unit leadership, and manages recruitment strategy and coordinates the interview process. Facilitates trainings, provides strategic planning and budgeting guidance, and performs complex data analysis for senior management.
Provides advice and guidance on all phases of human resources activities, policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and programs.
Serves as a consultant to people managers and unit leadership on performance management, talent acquisition, talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning. Manages recruitment strategy and coordinates the interview process, including identification of search committee members and identification of appropriate candidate evaluation methodology.
Monitors human resources policies for effectiveness and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; recommends revisions or modifications as needed.
Facilitates training and development services to increase workforce competence, employee engagement, and/or organizational capability.
Responds to employment-related inquiries and resolves complex employee issues and concerns; Provides management and employee coaching and counseling.
Performs duties such as processing employment record changes, appointments, posting jobs, and managing immigration issues.
Provides input in budget management and strategic planning initiatives.
Performs complex data analysis and prepares reports and/or presentations for senior management
Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a computer. Must be able to attend in person meetings on campus which may include walking between offices on campus.
