ROLE SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist, using broad HR knowledge, provides employees with assistance with benefits, legal compliance, employee relations issues, and other human resources issues. The Human Resources Generalist will partner with the Human Resources Director to anticipate and meet the needs of B & I Contractors, Inc. while assisting with delivering best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues.
  • Updates benefits carriers websites, enrolls employees in benefits.
  • Maintains employee personnel files to ensure legal compliance.
  • Coordinates new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation meetings.
  • Assists in preparation of special events such as Company picnics, Roadshows, Year End Celebration, and other office or company gatherings.
  • Responsible for random testing coordination.
  • Other duties as assigned by HR Director.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience or a combination of work experience and education.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook is required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel (day and/or overnight travel) as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.
  • Benefits Administration experience highly desirable.
