Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter

The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization and assisting on various HR activities. Recruiting will be achieved through development of recruiting plans, employing transitional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring that the Company hires the best possible talent in alignment with business objectives.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage an efficient and effective full-cycle recruitment and selection process to ensure a smooth experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Partner with hiring managers on recruiting and hiring needs, including posting and marketing of open jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, assisting in hiring decisions and extending job offers.
  • Create/update job descriptions.
  • Conduct onboarding activities including new employee orientations.
  • Efficiently and effectively source candidates to fill open positions
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media and employees
  • Conduct prescreening interviews and coordinate hiring manager interviews
  • Coordinate the disposition of candidates and maintain all pertinent applicant data in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Prepare offer packages and complete preemployment activities such as drug testing, reference, and background checks for potential employees
  • Onboarding employees within our HRIS system
  • Develop and track measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process so that the processes are transparent and measurable. Set continuous improvement goals.
  • Coordinate and implement various recruiting initiatives, including identifying potential external job fairs
  • Coordinate and lead on-site job fairs
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Manage the use of external recruiters
  • Support various HR activities
  • Any other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of three years of talent acquisition experience preferred
  • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
  • Experience with recruiting; technical recruiting a plus
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Flexibility and agility
  • Business acumen
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collect and interpret data-based measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness or failure of the recruitment system from position opening to onboarding
  • Skills in database management and recordkeeping
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully
