We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Cameron Park, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, and maintaining employee records. Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and execute onboarding procedures to ensure new employees have a seamless transition into the organization.
• Maintain and update employee records using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist in the administration of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Conduct background checks and verify employment documentation for new hires.
• Provide support in employee relations activities, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues.
• Collaborate with team members to improve HR processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Prepare reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making and strategy development.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations in all HR functions.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and procedures in a timely and thorough manner.
• Previous experience in Human Resources administration or a similar role.
• Proficiency in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to manage employee data.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of employment verification processes.
• Strong understanding of employee relations and effective communication strategies.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
