SmartStay is a holiday homes company that offers luxury furnished apartments in prime locations like Downtown Dubai. At SmartStay, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and reliability to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Manager to lead and oversee our HR & Admin team.

The Role: HR Manager

The HR Manager is responsible for leading the HR function at SmartStay, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with UAE labor laws and free zone regulations, and fostering a strong and positive workplace culture. This role drives recruitment, training, performance management, employee administration and employee engagement, while maintaining a clear team structure and accountability across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the senior leadership team to align HR strategy with business goals, ensuring workforce planning supports company growth and expansion.
• Develop and implement annual HR plans, budgets, and headcount forecasts in line with SmartStay’s strategic direction.
• Act as a strategic advisor to management on organization design, succession planning, and talent retention.
• Maintain a clear organizational structure with defined roles, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
• Ensure HR systems, SOPs, and policies are documented, implemented, and continuously improved.
• Oversee compliance with UAE Labor Law and Free Zone standards, including contracts, visas, insurance, and other employee documentation.
• Supervise visa processing, renewals, onboarding, and offboarding in coordination with the HR Executive (PRO).
• Mitigate HR-related risks through up-to-date legal knowledge, data protection, and confidentiality practices.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment processes to fill staffing gaps and support SmartStay’s business growth.
• Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
• Support the Training Specialist and SmartStay Training Academy in developing and implementing training, mentoring, and upskilling initiatives.
• Design and manage performance review processes, individual development plans, and structured feedback sessions.
• Develop and review salary structures, allowances, and benefits to ensure fairness and market competitiveness.
• Collaborate with the Finance team on payroll accuracy, leave management, and attendance tracking.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities to enhance morale, motivation, and retention.
• Serve as the main point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and escalations, ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
• Lead investigations and disciplinary proceedings in line with company policies and UAE Labor Law.
• Coach managers on effective communication, conflict resolution, documentation, and people management best practices.
• Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
• Stay updated with HR best practices, industry trends, and UAE regulatory updates to ensure ongoing compliance and competitiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the hospitality / holiday homes sectors.
• Strong understanding of UAE labor law and HR compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee engagement, training, and performance management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable using digital tools and software for HR tasks, reporting, and team management; tech-savvy and computer-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility to participate in occasional weekend events or activities as required.
• Must be available to start immediately.
