JourneyTeam is seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resources Lead to join our People Team. This role is ideal for a leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution and has a proven ability to balance employee advocacy with business objectives. We’re looking for someone who thrives in the dynamic environment of a growing professional services organization—where adaptability and sound judgment are essential to navigate an ever-changing landscape. You’ll be responsible for driving impactful Human Resources initiatives, ensuring compliance, and implementing practical solutions that align with our values and organizational goals. While this position does not include direct reports, it offers the opportunity to lead through influence, partnership, and action.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead Human Resources strategies and initiatives in collaboration with C-level executives to align with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
  • Guide the evolution of Human Resources systems, processes, and policies to support organizational growth from approximately 150 to 300 employees.

Culture & Engagement

  • Support initiatives that foster a positive and high-performing culture.
  • Contribute to programs that improve employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.

Collaboration

  • Partner with the People Team on total rewards, onboarding, and employee engagement programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, influencing decisions without direct authority.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Develop and maintain Human Resources policies and procedures aligned with company values and brand reputation.
  • Provide risk assessment and strategic leadership on Human Resources-related matters.

Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including exposure to strategic HR leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

Compensation:

Base salary range of $100,000 – $120,000.

This is the established pay range for the Human Resources Lead role at JourneyTeam. Actual compensation is dependent on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. In general, new employees can expect to start at the lower end of the range (with opportunity to grow and expand within the organization).

Location:

Our office is based in Draper, Utah, and we strongly prefer candidates who can participate on-site on a regular basis. While there is not a firm on-site schedule, we encourage as much in-person collaboration as possible to support team engagement and operational effectiveness.
