Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our HR practices and processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping our company culture, driving employee engagement, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and training initiatives, while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and employees. It is a high-visibility position within a shared services group that supports two adjacent manufacturing entities and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Responsibilities & Duties
- Strategic HR Leadership: Collaborate with Management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
- Recruitment & Staffing: Oversee talent acquisition, job postings, interviews, and selection processes to ensure staffing needs are met.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Lead performance review processes, provide guidance to managers, and help implement performance improvement plans.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs, design development programs, and promote continuous employee growth.
- HR Data & Reporting: Manage HR metrics, track workforce analytics, and use data to improve HR functions.
- Benefits & Compensation: Administer employee benefits programs, manage payroll, and oversee 401(k) filings, deposits, and compliance.
- Workplace Safety: Collaborate with management and safety teams to ensure a safe work environment, support OSHA compliance, manage safety training programs, and promote a culture of health and safety awareness.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor HR staff, building a high-performing HR team.
Skills & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred: SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in payroll administration and 401(k) plan management strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, skill set, and qualifications.
