About the role

We’re hiring a hands‑on Human Resources Manager to lead all HR activities for our 200‑employee, single‑shift manufacturing plant. This is the senior on‑site HR position partnering directly with the Plant Manager and leadership team. You’ll own recruiting, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, HRIS/payroll coordination (ADP Workforce Now), compliance, and engagement initiatives as we scale.

  • Talent acquisition & onboarding for hourly and salaried roles; manage job postings, screening, offers, pre‑employment, I‑9/E‑Verify, orientation.
  • Employee relations: coach leaders, investigate concerns, document findings, and drive fair/corrective actions.
  • Benefits & leaves: administer plans; lead open enrollment; manage FMLA/ADA/LOA; coordinate workers’ comp and return‑to‑work.
  • HRIS & payroll: serve as site owner for ADP (Workforce Now); ensure data accuracy, time/attendance, and payroll changes with Finance.
  • Compliance: maintain required postings, files, audits, and reports (EEO, OSHA logs, E‑Verify, I‑9, FLSA).
  • Engagement & retention: drive recognition, communication, surveys, and frontline manager training; partner with EHS on safety culture.
  • Reporting & metrics: headcount, turnover, time‑to‑fill, absenteeism, overtime, and DEI metrics to guide decision‑making.
  • Scalability: document processes and help prepare the site for multi‑site platform growth.

What you’ll bring

  • 5–8+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing/plant environment.
  • Proven strength in employee relations and leave management (FMLA/ADA).
  • HRIS fluency—ideally ADP Workforce Now; comfortable with Excel/Sheets for reporting.
  • Recruiting pipeline know‑how for production/hourly roles; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Confident communicator with shop‑floor presence; able to influence and coach line leaders.
  • Familiarity with safety/EHS collaboration and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SCP a plus.

Schedule & work environment

  • On‑site Monday–Friday, single‑shift operations (occasional flex for candidate interviews or employee meetings).
  • Light‑manufacturing environment with regular interaction on the production floor.
