Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile HR Manager to build and lead our Human Resources function from the ground up. This individual will be responsible for developing policies, processes, and programs that support our growing workforce, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws, and aligning HR strategies with the company’s business objectives. The role requires a hands-on leader who is both strategic and detail-oriented, capable of balancing day-to-day HR operations with long-term organizational planning.

Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Design and manage the full-cycle recruitment process (job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding).
  • Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Build an employer brand to attract top talent across skilled, non-skilled, and administrative roles.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain programs to promote employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment aligned with company values.

3. Policy Development & Compliance

  • Create, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage and hour, etc.).
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement proactive strategies to maintain compliance.

4. Performance Management & Training

  • Establish and oversee performance review processes, including goal setting and feedback cycles.
  • Identify training and development needs; coordinate internal and external training programs.
  • Coach managers and employees on performance and career development.

5. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support

  • Partner with Finance/Payroll to administer compensation structures, benefit plans, and leave programs.
  • Support benefits enrollment, employee education, and compliance with ACA and other benefit-related laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

6. HR Strategy & Organizational Development

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with company goals and growth plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational structure.
  • Track HR metrics (turnover, retention, time-to-fill, employee satisfaction) and report to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in healthcare, home health care, or multi-site organizations preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization and build processes from the ground up.
  • Professional certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • ($90,000 - $105,000) based on experience
