Cyber Investigation (CI) is a national leader in the fast-paced field of digital forensics. We partner with corporations, attorneys, private investigators, and individuals to uncover and analyze digital evidence supporting civil, criminal, and business investigations.

As an innovative force in the cybersecurity and digital forensics space, CI values agility, professionalism, and technological excellence. We’re expanding our team and seeking a remote HR Manager (contractor) to support a range of people operations and compliance tasks.

Role Overview

As an HR Manager (Contractor), you’ll play a key role in managing core HR functions in a fully remote environment. From onboarding to compliance, policy implementation, and training coordination, you'll help maintain a productive and legally compliant workplace for our virtual team.

This is a contract-based position, ideal for a self-motivated HR professional who thrives in a tech-forward, distributed work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer compensation processes and support performance management
• Conduct remote onboarding and coordinate training and development programs
• Serve as a point of contact for team members on HR-related inquiries
• Support implementation of company policies and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws
• Promote HR practices that contribute to a positive and productive remote work culture
• Analyze key HR metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, turnover rates) and suggest improvements
• Organize and manage performance reviews (quarterly and annually)
• Maintain and update digital employee records and documentation
• Provide guidance on virtual team engagement and employee satisfaction initiatives

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager role
• Strong understanding of HR practices and relevant employment/labor laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS tools (e.g., PeopleSoft) is a plus
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $63,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
