Role Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will serve as KS&R’s lead HR professional, responsible for managing all day-to-day human resource functions and driving key initiatives that support employee development, engagement, and organizational growth. Reporting to a member of the Leadership Team, the HR Manager will receive strategic direction while owning and executing HR operations independently. Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Culture
- Serve as a thought partner to the Executive Team on HR strategy and organizational development
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and values-aligned workplace culture; engaging a remote workforce
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and help design programs that strengthen connection and morale
Talent Management & Development
- ·Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Implement and manage a performance review process that supports growth and accountability
- Identify and facilitate training programs aligned to professional development goals (including, but not limited to federal and state mandated training)
- Develop and support succession planning and workforce planning strategies to align talent with organizational growth goals, including skillset roadmaps
Compensation & Benefits
- Conduct compensation analysis to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness
- Create and manage personalized compensation reports for employees on an annual basis
- Lead benefits administration, employee education, and open enrollment procedures
- Reconcile benefits invoicing to ensure accurate hiring/exiting of employees on a timely basis
_ Compliance & HR Operations_
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations (federal, state, local)
- Responsible for all informational paperwork for KS&R Employees – including: employment verification, wage garnishment requests, unemployment claims, quarterly disability reports, etc.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Handle employee relations issues with discretion, empathy, and fairness
- Recommend and implement HR technologies, systems, and process improvements, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency
- Manage annual drug screening processes
- Manage and develop any HR support staff or external vendors supporting HR functions
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally in a generalist or business partner capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Master’s degree ideal)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience owning HR processes end-to-end in a small to mid-sized company
- Proven experience building strong relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and strategically while balancing day-to-day HR operations
- Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience with compensation analysis, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
- Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills
- High level of discretion, integrity, and empathy

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
