About Company

Sphere Travel Media and Exhibitions is a leading event management company specializing in organizing exhibitions and events in the travel industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Events & Exhibitions domain and possess a strong understanding of HR practices in this industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Selection: Lead the recruitment process for all positions within the organization, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process. Collaborate with department heads to identify talent needs and ensure timely hiring.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by effectively addressing employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues. Promote a culture of open communication and collaboration within the organization.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure employee productivity, engagement, and development. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and assist in career development planning.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs across departments and design training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Coordinate with external trainers and internal stakeholders to deliver effective training sessions.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Conduct salary benchmarking and propose competitive compensation structures.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal regulations and industry best practices. Keep up-to-date with labor laws and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Employee Engagement: Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, including team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and employee feedback mechanisms. Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of employee well-being.
  • HR Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, leave management, and HR databases. Generate HR reports and analytics for management review and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Proven working experience as HR manager (Preference for experience in field of Event Management)
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the Company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
