Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with flexibility as needed)

Job Overview:

Stormberg Foods LLC is an air-dried beef snacks manufacturing company in Goldsboro, NC, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions and support our growing team. This role is responsible for managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll etc… and reports to the Senior Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and talent management:

  • Managing job postings and developing recruitment strategies.
  • Conducting new-hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Analyzing talent metrics to inform hiring strategies
  • Work closely with department managers to address staffing needs and performance management.
  • Analize suggestions from employees to help improve company and employee relations.
  • Lead performance reviews and suggest actions based on the outocmes.


Employee relations:

  • Handling day-to-day employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures
  • Mediating conflicts and addressing employee grievances
  • Working with managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
  • Conducting exit interviews to gather feedback


Payroll, Compensation and benefits:

  • Assisting with the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment and changes.
  • Processing payroll and managing timekeeping records.
  • Providing support for compensation and benefits programs.
  • Verify Overtime had been authorized by the Department manager
  • Submit reports for payroll and Overtime not authorized

Training and development:

  • Assisting in the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Executing employee training initiatives on topics like diversity and inclusion.
  • Coordinating learning and professional development opportunities.


HR administration and compliance:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, such as EEO, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Maintaining confidential and accurate employee records in HR systems
  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
  • Performing and conducting 3rd party Audits for compliance and contractual obligations.


Employee Discipline:

  • Continuously update Company Code of conduct in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Lead disciplinary meetings in conjunction with department managers/Leads
  • Ensure terminations are correctly carried out when necessary
  • Upholding fair and consistent disciplinary actions are carried out over all departments
  • Conduct HR-related training, including safety, compliance, and professional development as well as quarterly audits to ensure all is complying.
  • Investigate and resolve workplace complaints.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the Food manufacturing field.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
