Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to run HR operations. This role is essential in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and implementing effective HR strategies that align with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be eager to build up the department as the company is experiencing rapid growth, and they will have a comprehensive understanding of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with Washington State and federal laws, including the Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, Wage Payment Act, and all applicable labor and safety regulations.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting: posting, interviewing, and onboarding while adhering to Washington’s pay transparency and lawful background check requirements
- Conduct employee onboarding and orientation to foster engagement and alignment with company values.
- Provide guidance on employee evaluations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans consistent with Washington anti-discrimination (WLAD) and retaliation protection laws.
- Lead training and professional development initiatives to support employee growth and compliance.
- Oversee employee relations, conduct investigations, and support conflict resolution with fairness and confidentiality.
- Administer benefits programs, including coordination of PFML, workers’ compensation, and health benefits.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Washington Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) safety regulations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning, and succession management.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate analytical reports for management decision-making.
- Support budgeting for HR programs, training, and departmental expenditures.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Washington employment laws and regulations (PFML, FMLA, WLAD, WISHA, wage/hour, and EEO).
- Experience with HRIS systems and data management.
- Proven ability in conflict resolution, employee relations, and policy enforcement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred).

Base Pay: $80,169.00 - $100,000.00 per year
