The Plastek Group is seeking an HR Generalist that is proficient in recruitment initiatives for its Corporate Headquarters located in Erie, PA.

The candidate will be a part of a comprehensive Corporate HR team responsible for the day-to-day HR duties and demands. Job duties to include:

  • Must be outgoing, personable, and have an ability and desire to work with people of all backgrounds.
  • Address employee questions and concerns regarding benefits: Health insurance, 401(k), attendance, etc.
  • Recruit and onboard new employees
  • Review applications and resumes; source, screen and interview potential candidates
  • Assist with sourcing, screening and interviewing new applicants
  • Schedule new hire physicals/drug screens, background checks and new hire paperwork
  • Assist with employee engagement events including coordination, communication and set-up
  • Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), etc.
  • Carry out open enrollments
  • Assist employees and applicants with general questions and concerns
  • Monitor employee attendance and timekeeping in UKG
  • Human Resources Information System operation & new employee entry
  • Manage confidential documents
  • Assist in workplace investigations
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and statues including labor laws and other governmental regulations that are applicable to the company. Providing timely reporting and information to the HR Manager
  • Actively participate in meetings when required
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years formal training or equivalent experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with minimum oversight.
  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Possess computer skills for programming & data entry.
  • Standard Operating Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Federal and State Employment regulations – FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
