Human Resources ManagerNon-Aligned 225-day position Rutland City Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic Central Office team. This full-time, year-round position plays a critical role in supporting our 490+ employees across all schools and district programs by leading human resource operations and contributing to a positive and professional work environment.Position Overview - The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of human resource services for the district, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, contract administration, benefits coordination, compliance, and labor relations. Due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the position, a high degree of discretion and professionalism is essential.The successful candidate will work closely with administrators, union representatives, and staff to ensure smooth operations in alignment with state and federal employment regulations and the goals of Rutland City Public Schools.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and administer collective bargaining agreements and individual employment contracts.Manage recruitment efforts, including position postings and onboarding.Administer FMLA, workers compensation, and other employee leave policies.Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR systems.Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and district policies (Title IX, HHB, mandated trainings).Coordinate and support grievance management and investigations.Collaborate on staffing forecasts, job descriptions, and position benchmarking.Support administrators with staff evaluation processes and performance reporting.Work as part of a team to enhance workplace culture, policy development, and internal communication.Required QualificationsMasters Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).Demonstrated HR experience in a school district or public agency setting preferred.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Experience working with labor agreements and employee relations.Proficiency with HRIS and office technologies.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.District Overview- Rutland City Public Schools proudly serves a diverse and vibrant community through the following schools and programs: Stafford Technical Center, Rutland High School, Rutland Middle School, Rutland Intermediate School, Northeast & Northwest Primary Schools.
