The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience in a broad range of HR functions including general HR support, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, performance management, employee relations and benefits administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day “hands-on” support to employees and managers in the handling of all human resource related activities which may include recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, employee relations, fielding employee questions or concerns, communication and understanding policies and procedures.
  • Lead and continuously improve the onboarding experience, ensuring new employees feel welcomed, informed, and connected from day one.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment and selection efforts, helping to attract and retain top talent.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data within the HRIS system and oversee all related employee lifecycle processes.
  • Support compensation and benefits programs, including data analysis, benchmarking, and communication to employees.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, providing guidance and coaching to employees and managers while fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace.
  • Facilitate or participate in investigations, performance discussions, and other employee relations activities with professionalism and empathy.
  • Partner with leadership to implement employee engagement strategies that strengthen connection, recognition, and career development.
  • Support organizational culture initiatives, helping to build a workplace where collaboration, accountability, and innovation are valued.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal policies while maintaining a balanced people-first approach.
  • Review, develop, and update HR policies and procedures to support company goals and evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate compliance-related programs such as mandatory training, safety, ethics, and anti-harassment initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform HR strategy, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance processes and employee experience.
  • Draft and manage employment documentation including offer letters, severance agreements, and policy acknowledgments.
  • Regularly review and update job descriptions to reflect current responsibilities and align with organizational design.
  • Coordinate all personnel changes, updating personnel files and the HRIS
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience; Must have previous HR experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device industries
  • BA in Business, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent.
  • Experience with Paylocity HRIS preferred.
  • Experience with administration of HR programs in the function of employment,
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business needs and employee experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for driving initiatives that make a meaningful impact on people and culture.
