HR Manager, HR Operations & Employee Services

Location: Corporate Headquarters, Zeeland, MI (with oversight of U.S. manufacturing and distribution sites)

Primarily an onsite schedule with occasional remote work

Position Summary

The HR Manager, HR Operations & Employee Services, leads a team responsible for delivering high-quality, client-focused HR services across the organization, globally and regionally. The HR Operations & Employee Services team owns the Total Rewards execution (compensation, benefits, and recognition) and ensures efficient, compliant, and employee-centered HR operations for corporate and manufacturing locations.

What you'll do:

Lead and Develop the HR Operations & Employee Services Team: Provide direction, coaching, and performance management for two HR professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, collaboration, and service excellence.
Own the Total Rewards Execution: Ensure the design, management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s global compensation structure; regional benefits programs; and employee rewards and recognition initiatives.
Manage Job Levelling and Compensation Governance: Ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and global consistency through effective job evaluation, market analysis, and pay range management.
Oversee Annual Compensation Review Cycles: Lead salary range reviews, market benchmarking, and annual merit and adjustment processes in partnership with leadership

Ensure HR Operational Excellence:

Oversee HR administration, investigations, data integrity, HRIS accuracy, and documentation to maintain compliant and efficient HR processes.
Monitor results to established KPI’s, assess trends, determine actions/plans to consistently improve results, communicate and change manage appropriately.
Prepare materials for ODL leadership and the Advisory Board ensuring a high level of accuracy, while achieving timeliness and holistic preparation.
Drive HR Governance and Policy Alignment: Maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards aligned with legal, ethical, and global requirements.
Provide Oversight for Payroll and Benefits Administration: Partner closely with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate, compliant execution of payroll and benefit programs.
Support Manufacturing & Distribution HR Services: Ensure effective on-site HR support for plant and distribution employees, including employee relations, investigations, hourly recruiting, safety, and leave management.
Lead Ethics and Compliance Oversight: Manage global ethics reporting and compliance processes, ensuring integrity, confidentiality, and appropriate resolution.
Promote Continuous Improvement and Employee Experience: Use data and employee feedback to enhance HR processes, communications, and service delivery, driving efficiency and engagement across the organization.

What you'll need:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or Psychology.
6+ years of progressive HR experience with focus in HR operations or total rewards.
Strong analytical, governance, and HR systems expertise.
Proven successful completion of work requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience supporting manufacturing/distribution environments.
Experience working with Global HR teams preferable.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex processes with accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality.
Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and use of HR systems (e.g., Workday).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to navigate global and cross-functional environments effectively.
High integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
Ability to travel approximately 10%
