The HR Manager will provide hands-on HR support and strategic guidance in areas: employee relations, performance management, coaching, and compliance.


Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a trusted HR business partner to assigned departments, offering guidance on staffing, development, and employee relations.
  • Manage complex employee issues, including counseling, investigations, and terminations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development for non-attorney timekeepers.
  • Contribute to attorney performance and compensation processes, including scripting and separation agreements.
  • Participate in annual and quarterly compensation reviews and FLSA audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and firm policies.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on process improvements, HR technology, and strategic projects.


What are the qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on employee relations
  • Strong communication and writing skills, especially for performance and employee documentation.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment .
